Video Surveillance For Law Enforcement

Cameras were installed at major intersections around the city and within a few weeks they were proving their value.

I am trying to hook up a Kenwood ac120v 60Hz 2.2a audio video surround receiver. I recently moved and I can’t remember how I had the stereo set up before. I think I have all the wires I need but I don’t know the names of all of them and am not sure what goes where.

This guy is amazing

At 5:45 AM 6-10-10 some mexican KID was checking out our property. Cops caught him about 5 blocks away. I stoped on the motorcycle to tell them this is the one, since i had just seen it on my dvr camera recorder. I got home about 6:03am from work. The wife had seen a shadow out the window and knew something was going on and called 911. The kid has a probation officer. Lucy, he did no damage and left. I have other basic footage from other cameras, but this was the best one. avi files are large and take time to load.

Does outside surveillance videos deter buglers?

I live in a quiet and relatively crime free neighborhood. Never had any problems the last 13 years I’ve lived in my house.

But I work a lot, and my 79 years old mother and my 46 years old slightly mentally handicapped brother lives with me.

My concern is for them. I’m planning to install a 3 outside infra-red video camera. One in the front of the house, another by the garage, and the last one in the back porch area. It’ll be professionally installed and will either be wired or wireless. Have not decided yet.

My question is: Am I wasting my money? Like I said, crime rate is nil where I live. But I figure it’s a good investment just for my peace of mind.

I’d imagine most burglars and "bad people" will go to an easier target once they see a surveillance camera.
I meant burglars, not buglers!!
