I am working on a school project where we build a robot that drives around. I want to put a small wireless camera on it.

I have a mini wireless surveillance camera similar to this:

It has RCA out and is powered by a AC/DC adapter.

I would like to be able to hook this up to a laptop and use it to output as a "Web Camera" which I am able to select in skype or in a flash program.

I have this RCA to USB adapter which allows video capture to video editing programs.

The problem is, when I hook this all up no picture shows up in Skype or any other webcam application. I am however able to select "Tridvid Capture" as a webcam which i’m assuming is it as this is not my built in webcam.

Can video capture devices like this be used as a webcam? If not is there a workaround?

I have an overhead DVD player with a 13 pin DIN cable that runs power audio and video to the unit, the audio is broadcast on a FM transmitter to be picked up by my car radio, unfortunetly there is too much interfierance so I want to splice the wire and tap the audio line and run it into the aux in of my radio, is there a way to figure out which wires are audio? Power meter, sound meter? or am I boned.
