I’m going to build a home theater in the near future, but am confused about the options.
From my understanding HDMI carries both audio and video. For example, connecting my cable box or vcr to tv. I only have to use one hdmi to do both.
Now here are my questions.
Where is there HDMI in on an Audio receiver? Couldn’t you just use Audio cables? Or do you need this to carry the digital sound from a Blu-ray to the receiver?
2nd) Why does the audio receiver have an HDMI out?
How do you hook these things up?
Lets say I had, Blu-Ray Player, Cable Box, Xbox (all HDMI), do I just hook all of those up to the receiver and use the one HDMI out to the TV or Projector?
As far as the projector is concerned. Could I just use component cables? or does it not do full HD?
what does ‘Real-Time Playback’ mean? my current dvr’s playback is just basically pictures/images in a slow sequence when motion is picked up by the camera. which results in a blurry/pixelated image.
does ‘real-time playback’ mean smoother playback? like as if the playback was a video etc?
Like my previous question, I need to make sure the Onkyo 875 first accepts Blu-Ray & HD-DVD, including 1080p technology. (Since my current receiver, the Denon 4306 does not.)
But I need to make sure the Onkyo 875 is an overall better receiver than the Denon 4306. Extra marks if it’s better than the Denon 4806. (There is no Onkyo 905…)
And the 875 is a Audio / Video Receiver right..?
(And what about the Onkyo 805 compared to the Denon 4306 / Denon 4806?)
(As well as the Onkyo 805 compared to the Onkyo 875…)
I have tryed the HDMI cable (Worst) Now I have componet cables (little better). This did not happen with the 625 DishTv receiver and the problem is even on the TV that is not in HD. How can I fix this? I have tryed everything under the menu button including Audio Sync. Both sandard and High Def settings do not work.
